3. Pressing CTRL-enter to do a page break
4. Pressing CTRL-D to format fonts and other styles
5. Use the style editor to format headings
6. Draw borders and tables
7. Use the alignment tool to center, left-align or right align text
8. Use picture tool to control flow layout of text
9. Use the Paste-special feature to embed picture files in the document
10.Generate table of contents and indices.Getting the list to 10 was actually a challenge for me, I didn't realize how little of MS word features I use. How about you? | |
| | | Linux Open Office to Microsoft Word converter? | | Recently I bought a Linux laptop (Asus EEE PC). It's working great, but my desktop computer isn't Linux, it's Vista. One of the main things I use my laptop for is writing, but since Linux uses OpenOffice, and Vista Microsoft Word, I can't transfer writing onto Vista from Linux because of the file types. Is there a converter I can get so that I can transfer between the computers? | |
| | Microsoft Word keeps calling Adobe Photoshop! | | Hi,I am writing a college report in which I need to paste several pictures in between paragraph. I am using Adobe Photoshop CS4 and Microsoft Word 2007 and there appears to be some conflict between the two software.When I insert (or paste) a picture into Microsoft Word, it displays correctly, however when I try and resize the picture, Word temporarly freezes and Adobe Photoshop loads up on it's own. Once loaded, Photoshop doesn't appear to be doing anything, it just sits there ready to be used. If I go back into Word, sometimes it doesn't respond and sometimes I can use it fine, however I am in most cases unable to resize my picture still. Sometimes clicking on a picture inside Word without doing anything to it, causes Photoshop to load up.I am not asking how to resize a picture and I do understand I can do this within Photoshop, but I would like to know why Microsoft Word is trying to call Photoshop? and how do I stop this?Thanks for any help | |
| | microsoft word | | I was typing in microsoft word and accidently deleted one para. when i searched for redo option in the menu bar, the option said can"t redo and so i had to retype the entire para from my memory and the retyped para is not up tpmy satisfaction. Is it possible to redo in the word document which we have accidently erased in some other way? | |

And my husband talked to another case worker and told him everything this lady did, including making him go back to work too soon..So he is putting out a couple more e-mails to try to get our back pay processed..Though the internet will probably still be turned off, at least there is some hope that it won't be long..In the meantime I have a question..We had Microsoft Word on this computer..The other day when I went the the add/delete section, I am 99.9% positive I didn't delete Word, I love Word and know what it looks like..But since doing that, we can't find Word on the computer. So couple of questions, is there a way to search the whole computer to find Word? And, on the pretense that I did delete it, can I get it back? | |
